Hotel X Toronto introduces Suite & Scary, a very limited stay created around Alone in the Dark at Stanley Barracks, a special after-hours paranormal investigation taking place just steps from the hotel at Exhibition Place.

Book an eligible suite at Hotel X Toronto on a night when the event is taking place and, while our allocation lasts, your stay could include two complimentary tickets to venture inside one of Toronto’s most intriguing historic landmarks after dark.

There are only four tickets available in total, so this one is quite literally first come, first scared.

After Dark at Stanley Barracks

Built in 1840-41, Stanley Barracks is the last major surviving building from Toronto’s former New Fort.
For just eight nights this October, The Haunted Walk is opening its doors after dark for Alone in the Dark at Stanley Barracks, presented in partnership with Exhibition Place and Hotel X Toronto.

Over two hours, a small group will investigate the building from basement to top floor, taking part in traditional and modern paranormal experiments along the way.

There are no actors waiting around corners. No staged encounters. And certainly no promise that anything unusual will happen.

As The Haunted Walk puts it, nothing is staged and nothing is guaranteed. Each investigation is intentionally unpredictable. Participants must be 16 or older.
Then, when the investigation is over, your suite is only a short walk away.

The Suite & Scary Offer

Reserve either a One Bedroom Suite or One Bedroom Suite Premium at Hotel X Toronto on one of the eight eligible event nights and receive two complimentary tickets to Alone in the Dark at Stanley Barracks, while allocations last.

Suite & Scary is available for stays on: October 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 & 31, 2026

Choose your Suite & Scary stay on the same night as your selected event.
Check in from 4:00 p.m., settle in at Hotel X Toronto, then step out for an evening of mystery at Stanley Barracks.
After the investigation, return to the comfort of your suite and let the night end on a decidedly cozier note.

Important Details:

Complimentary tickets are limited to two tickets per qualifying suite stay, with four tickets total available on each of the eight event nights.
Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and are not guaranteed until confirmed directly by Hotel X Toronto.
The stay must correspond with an eligible Alone in the Dark at Stanley Barracks event date.
The paranormal investigation is for guests 16 years of age and older and, due to the age of Stanley Barracks, the experience is not accessible.

Reserve an eligible One Bedroom Suite or One Bedroom Suite Premium for a night corresponding with an Alone in the Dark at Stanley Barracks event.
